This sliding clasp is a metal bead with a silicone inner.  The silicone inner sections grips the two ends of the threads (e.g 0.7mm cord), when pulling the threads, creating a hold, while still being adjustable.
 
This clasp can be used on either bracelets or necklaces, and is ideal for someone who may struggle with a small lobster style clasp, but wants more security than a magnet clasp.
 
#One way to use them is to feed the 2 cord ends in the opposite direction to each other, through the clasp, so that they cross passed each other.
You would then pull the two cord ends away from each other to tighten the necklace or bracelet when being worn.  Then to remove, you would pull the cord ends back towards the clasp to loosen.
